Connect Cronofy to Workday
Read as MarkdownTo connect Cronofy to Workday you need three details about your Workday tenant, and the username and password of the Integration System User you created.
Find your API host URL #
Cronofy will need to access your Workday tenant. Depending on how your tenant was setup, and where it is hosted this may mean Cronofy will need to contact a different Web Services endpoint. In preparation for configuring Cronofy you will need to find this endpoint.
- Search for and find the “Public Web Services” report.
- Find either the “Human Resources” or “Recruiting” Web Service. Note that either is fine, they will both result in the same address.
- Click the actions
(...)button, select “Web Service” and “View WSDL”. - You will be presented with an XML document. Search for
soapbind:address location= - Copy the host name ready for the next step. This will look something like
impl-services1.wd123.myworkday.comorwd1-impl-services1.workday.com. Note that thehttps://and directory paths are not required.
Find your tenant ID #
- Search for and open the “Tenant Setup” task in Workday.
- Your tenant ID is shown in the page header.
Your tenant ID also appears in the browser address bar, as the first path segment after the host (for example, the your_tenant_id in .../your_tenant_id/d/...).
Find your web host #
The web host is the address you use to access Workday in your browser. Cronofy uses it to build the links opened by the Browser Extension.
When you configure Cronofy, we fill in the web host from the API host automatically where we can, so in most cases you will not need to find it yourself. If the field is left empty, or the address it contains is not the one you use to reach Workday, find your web host as follows:
- Open Workday in your browser as you normally would.
- Look at the address bar and copy the host name ready for the next step, i.e. the part between
https://and the first/. This will look something likewd123.myworkday.comorimpl.wd123.myworkday.com. Note that thehttps://and directory paths are not required.
Configure Cronofy #
Next you will need to configure Cronofy to connect to your Workday tenant. Before you do this you will need to reach out to our support team to have Workday enabled for your Organization.
- Navigate to the Cronofy dashboard.
- Select your Organizational Unit on the menu and select the “Admin” tab, followed by “Integrations”.
- Click “Set Up New Integration” and pick “Workday”.
- Enter the API host you found earlier, your tenant ID, the Integration System User username, and password.
- Check the “Web Host” field. We fill this in from the API host where we can, so it may already be populated. If it is empty, or does not match the address you use to reach Workday, enter the web host you found in the previous step. Once the API host and tenant ID are filled in, use the “Test this link” link below the field to open a Workday search for “test” and confirm the host is correct.
- Click “Save”.
At this point you can now use the Cronofy Browser Extension to Schedule interviews using Workday and Cronofy.
You can then choose how Cronofy moves candidates in Workday, in the Workday integration settings.
