Service Accounts are special type of Account used only for certain operations in relation to our Enterprise Connect feature.
They cannot be used in the same way as normal user Accounts with the Cronofy API.
You obtain a Service Account authorization using the Enterprise Connect authorization flow. Typically these credentials will be provided and the flow completed by an IT admin from your customer.
Once you have this authorization, your application can then obtain authorization to access user or resources calendars by using the Request Delegated Access flow.
What You Can Do With A Service Account #
- Request Delegated Access to user’s calendars, resource calendar or shared mailbox calendar.
- List Resource calendars available to the Service Account.
What You Can Not Do With A Service Account #
- Access calendars, events, etc associated with the Service Account
