Slack
Read as MarkdownThe Cronofy Scheduling Agent turns Slack into a window on your calendar. Check what’s on, schedule meetings by @mentioning the people you want to meet, move things around, and send scheduling links to anyone outside Slack. The agent handles real-time availability, time zones, and calendar invitations.
What you can do
The pages below explain how to accomplish common tasks with the agent.
- Set up the Scheduling Agent in Slack — install the app, connect calendars, and configure your workspace.
- Check your calendar — ask the agent what’s on, when you’re free, or when you’re next meeting someone.
- Book meetings — schedule with one or more people by
@mentioning them in the thread. - Reschedule meetings — move an existing meeting and let the agent handle invitations and attendees.
- Send a scheduling link — generate a personalized link for someone outside your workspace to pick a time.
How it works
The agent uses the connected calendars in your Cronofy Organizational Unit to check real-time availability across everyone invited to a conversation. When you @mention colleagues in a request, the agent considers their calendars. When you reference someone outside the workspace by email, the agent considers their availability if they have a connected calendar, and otherwise generates a scheduling link they can use to pick a time themselves.
Time zones are handled automatically. Replies come back in the time zone of whoever asked, and calendar invitations are sent with the correct details, conferencing link, and time zone for each attendee.
Data handling
Calendar data is processed in Cronofy’s own data centers and is not passed through third-party AI services. The agent is covered by Cronofy’s ISO 27001, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, and SOC 2 certifications, with full support for GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
