Reschedule meetings
Read as MarkdownWhen plans change, ask the agent to move a meeting. It works on meetings the agent booked and on existing meetings already in your calendar.
Move a meeting
@mention the agent and describe the meeting and the new time:
@Cronofy move my Partnerships sync with @sarah to Thursday afternoon
The agent finds the event, checks the new availability of everyone attending, and replies with options that work. Pick one and updated invitations go out automatically. The original duration is preserved unless you ask for a change.
If there’s only one meeting that matches, the agent will propose a single new time. If your description matches more than one event, it will ask which one you mean.
Move to a specific time
If you already know the time you want, just say it:
@Cronofy move tomorrow's Partnerships sync to 3pm
The agent checks that everyone is free at the requested time. If anyone has a clash, it will tell you who and offer nearby alternatives.
Add or remove attendees
You can change who’s invited at the same time as moving the meeting, or as a standalone change:
@Cronofy add @priya to my 3pm and find a time that works for everyone
@Cronofy drop dave@example.com from the Friday review
The agent updates the invitation list and, if availability is affected, proposes a new time.
Reschedule a meeting the agent booked for someone else
If you scheduled a meeting with an external recipient through the agent, you can move it the same way. The recipient receives a rescheduling link and updated invitation automatically.
When the agent can’t help
A few situations where the agent will ask you to handle a meeting yourself rather than guess:
- The meeting is on a calendar Cronofy is not connected to.
- The event has unusual recurrence rules that can’t be safely modified through Cronofy’s APIs.
- You don’t have permission to modify the event on the underlying calendar.
In these cases the agent explains what it saw and points you to the right place to make the change.
