Using the Zendesk App
With the Cronofy for Zendesk app installed Zendesk agents can now create unique personal invitation links without having to leave Zendesk or confirming anyones availability.
Using the Cronofy for Zendesk app #
The app will add the scheduling link wherever the cursor is in the ticket response field. Start typing your response and when you’re ready to add a link, click the Cronofy icon just below the text box, next to the Text and Attachment icons.
When this is selected the Cronofy Scheduler will open over the text field.
Creating your invitation link #
To create your unique invitation link you’ll need to complete the three sections in the Scheduler form.
Who are you inviting? #
The “Who are you inviting?” section will automatically populate your customers information from Zendesk.
If you have added the organisation to the ticket information (at the top left of the ticket) then this information will also populate into the invitation form.
With the free version of the Scheduler you can create invites for 1 to 1 events, with our Pro Features you’ll be able to invite multiple attendees from your Scheduler Contacts.
What are you scheduling? #
Here you add the details that structure your event.
The “Event Summary” will auto-populate with yours and your invitees names. This field is editable and you can change it to suit your event.
Add a location if required and select the desired duration.
You can also choose which conferencing service to use for your event, giving you the capability to personalise the invite to your invitees preferences. If you can’t see your desired conferencing service, then check out how to update your preferences.
Finally, you can add an event description that will show in the calendar event.
When will they be able to choose? #
When selecting when slots are available for your invitee you can choose between either the “Working hours” or “Specific times”.
This option respects the Working hours you selected when setting up your Preferences. It will accurately reflect your availability and grey out times where you are already busy.
From the drop-down you can select the number of days in advance you want your invitee to be able to choose from.

Want more control over the time slots available to your invitee? No problem.
The “Specific times” option allows you to click and drag to select specific times you’d like your invitee to be able to choose from.
Don’t worry, we still check your availability and if you have a busy slot this won’t be presented during slot selection.
When you’re happy with the details in the invitation, hover over the blue Cronofy icon, it will expand into a “Create invitation link” button.
Click the button and your unique invitation link will auto-populate in the response box.
Your message is now ready to send and your invitee will be able to schedule in that call at a time that works for both of you and you never left the Zendesk Ticket!
