What can Cronofy read in my calendar?
Cronofy reads your free/busy availability, and the event details it needs to coordinate scheduling, such as event times, attendees and conferencing links. That lets it offer accurate availability and create events on your behalf.
Link to this questionDoes connecting Cronofy with free/busy access give it access to my full calendar details?
No. With free/busy access, Cronofy only sees whether someone is busy or free, not what’s in their calendar, and it can’t write events straight into it. Invitations are sent to the person’s inbox instead. That’s why security teams often approve it where they wouldn’t approve full access.
Your calendar admin chooses free/busy access when connecting your organization. See free/busy access for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Link to this questionDo you store my calendar information?
Cronofy stores the minimum calendar data it needs to coordinate scheduling and keep your events in sync. For what’s stored and for how long, see our data management policy.
Link to this questionWhere is my data hosted?
In the data center you chose when you signed up. Your data stays in that region. See cloud hosting for the regions and hosting details.
Link to this questionIs Cronofy compliant with GDPR and other regulations?
See our compliance pages for our certifications and the regulations we comply with, and compliance reports for the documents a security review needs. For our Data Processing Agreement, or other compliance documents, contact support.
Link to this questionCan I mark my Cronofy events as private?
Yes. Private events hide their details from people who can otherwise see your calendar.
- For yourself: turn on marking events as private in your preferences. It applies to events the Scheduler creates from then on.
- For your whole organization: an admin can mark every Scheduler event created in your Organizational Unit as private, from its scheduling settings. This overrides individual settings.
For how private events work in your calendar, see Google’s or Microsoft’s documentation.
