# Tag requests

Tags label your scheduling requests with what they're for, such as the project, customer, role or candidate source. They make it easier to filter your requests, follow up on outstanding ones, and [report](https://docs.cronofy.com/schedule/account-team-setup/reporting/index.md) on them. Tags are also what [booking limits](https://docs.cronofy.com/schedule/scheduling-and-booking/booking-limits/index.md) and some integrations, such as the [Lever feedback form](https://docs.cronofy.com/connect/integrations/lever/lever-feedback-form/index.md), work from.

For example, a recruiter might tag each request with the candidate's source, to report on where hires come from.

## Add tags
Add tags when you [create a request](https://docs.cronofy.com/schedule/scheduling-and-booking/scheduling-requests/index.md) or a [template](https://docs.cronofy.com/schedule/scheduling-and-booking/templates/index.md): type a tag's name and press Enter. You can also add tags to an existing request, or remove them, by opening it from the [requests dashboard](https://docs.cronofy.com/schedule/calendar-and-events/track-requests/index.md).

- A request can have up to 32 tags.

- A tag's name can be up to 64 characters.

- You can remove a tag from a request, but not delete the tag itself. To change a tag, remove it and add a new one.

## Filter by tag
Filter the requests dashboard by one or more tags to see only those requests.
